god and religion

I went to my uncles church meeting today..there were sooooooo many lectures and songs and gospel and prayers.. where they said that god is gr8, jesus is gr8 etc..etc..
listening to all that made me wonder...
what/who is god??why do people have religion?and does god favor only the chosen people??
well, most of us might have thought of these questions at one point or the other in their lives and im no exception..
And i have come to some conclusions of my own, & these are my ideas..

I think god created man and man created god..how??.. read on..
all believers of physics and science will say that the universe was created by the big bang and thats how everything started, and then slowly those particles spread over the universe forming galaxies, stars, blackholes, planets etc..
Earth was also formed as a solid planet which was initially hot and could not support life, then it gradually cooled and slowly smaller life forms developed in those hot waters full of minerals..bacteria, fungi, plants,animals- invertebrates, vertebrates, fishes, amphibians, reptiles, mammals and humans..this is the darwins theory of evolution, in short..there are scientific explanations for all these..
But,where did the big bang originate from?what was there before the big bang?why did the big bang happen??some people have put forward some theories, but none of them can explain this..this invisible force from where things started..
there are many other things for which there is no explanation..
god was created to explain all that man could not understand, could not explain.. so i think that this invisible force was called god..this is how god was created, by man..as a way of explanation to explain the unexplainable..
and if that invisible force is god, then god created man and everything else..

So, where does religion come in??different people had their own belifs in who is god and how god and man came about..the ones who were more successful in making other people believe in their beliefs started these religions..christ, prophet muhammad, buddha etc..there are some religions which are not based on the ideas of a single person but based on the ideas of many people..like hinduism, judaism etc..
i have also noticed a fundamental principle that is common to all religions, be it chrianity, islam, judaism, hinduism or even scientology..
"they all believe in the presence of a higher force or god!"
maybe that is why the term 'religious beliefs" has been coined..
I am a hindu, and my uncle(the one to whom i was referring to at the beginning of this blog) is a christian, and as i was listening to the prayer meetings today, it only drove the pint home, they were singing and praying in a group beliving that doing that will make the prayers stronger and god will answer, there is a similar custom in hindus called satsang, i think even muslims pray in mosques as a group for the same reason..
This only goes on to show the futility of religions, every religion teaches us the same things, every holy book has the same teachings, so why the difference?? why do people fight in the name of religion?and why do people make other people convert to their religion?? is it not enough if we have faith in god?..
Today, at the church, they were talking about miracles and sayin that only if u believe in jesus will u see these miracles,But its not true, i have seen miracles, maybe even i was a miracle to someone, and these miracles happened 2 me even though im not a christian..if you go around asking people of different religions if they have seen or experienced miracles, most of them will say yes..
conclusion-.."It does not matter which religion you are in, as long as you have faith"
